School Psychologist

School psychologists participate both within and outside schools in prevention, intervention, and assessment for students who need support due to psychological or behavioral challenges. They interpret assessment data for educational teams and families, offer recommendations for behavioral and academic supports to ensure effective intervention in the Multi-Tiered Support System (MTSS), and provide guidance—including the implementation of functional behavioral analyses (FBA) and behavior intervention plans (BIP) when needed. Additionally, they coordinate and collaborate with early intervention services to support students as they transition from early intervention to preschool and from preschool to school-age services.
